Your First Visit, Made Easy

Spring is here, the desert is warming up, and Paqua Park is officially open for the 2026 season. If you’ve been looking for an easy, genuinely fun lake-day option for the family or a group of friends, this one is worth putting on the calendar. Here’s everything you need to know to make your first visit a smooth one.

What Is Paqua Park?

Paqua Park is an inflatable, on-water obstacle course at Scorpion Bay Marina on Lake Pleasant in Peoria, Arizona. With 7,000+ square feet of floating fun, it’s a one-of-a-kind experience where you’ll climb, jump, slide and bounce your way through 45 minutes of non-stop action on the water. It’s a great way to get outside, cool off and make a real afternoon out of it. First-timers are always surprised by how much there is to explore in a single session.

Getting There

Paqua Park is located at Scorpion Bay Marina, inside Lake Pleasant Regional Park. Maricopa County charges a $10 per car entry fee at the gate (make sure to check updated charges upon your arrival). On weekends the line can build up, so give yourself a little extra drive time to avoid any stress before your session.

Arrive Early

Plan to show up 15 to 30 minutes before your session time. You’ll check in, get your life jacket fitted, and attend a quick safety briefing with one of our lifeguards before hitting the water. Sessions start on time, so the earlier you arrive the smoother everything goes. Pro tip: sign your waiver online before you come and skip a step at check-in.

What to Wear and What to Leave in the Car

Swimwear and a towel are all you really need to bring. For footwear, socks are the only thing allowed on the course: no Crocs, water shoes, or sneakers. You can grab a pair at the park if you forget.

Leave valuables in your car when possible. We do have cubbies on the dock for not-high value things, but for anything worth keeping safe, your car is the better bet. We can only hold your keys, wallet, phone and shoes at your own risk. The water is deep, so if something drops in, it’s gone. Also worth knowing: the dock has no shade and no seating area for spectators. If someone in your group isn’t getting on the course, give them a heads up so they can plan accordingly.

Who Can Play?

Participants must be at least 7 years old and 45 inches tall. Life jackets are required and provided by Paqua Park. Everyone on the course must also know how to swim. For kids right at the height minimum, having an adult with them on the course is strongly recommended. Some of the climbing steps can be tricky for little ones. Anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian to sign the waiver, either online before arrival or in person at check-in.

Pricing and Booking

Single sessions are $27.50 per person when booked online or $27.50 at the park. Booking ahead saves you money and locks in your spot. Groups of 10 or more get a discounted rate of $24 per person online. For private events like birthday parties or corporate outings, full park rentals are available too. Just reach out to the team to get that conversation started.

Spring Hours

From opening day through Memorial Day weekend, Paqua Park is open Saturdays and Sundays. Starting in June and running through most of July, hours expand to Thursday through Monday, so there are more chances to plan a visit around your week. Specific session times can vary, so the easiest way to see what’s available is to visit the Book Now page and select your date.
